Welcome to PXT. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our vertical slideshow/carousel creation services.

2. Information We Collect

  • Account and Registration Data: Email address, password, profile information, and authentication credentials when you sign up or log in.
  • Payment Information: For premium plans, payment details are collected and processed directly by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We only retain transaction records and billing history, not full credit card numbers.
  • User-Generated Content & AI Processing Data: Text overlays, slide scripts, AI prompts, custom layout settings, and media assets you create, upload, or generate using our AI tools.
  • Third-Party Stock Integration Data: Search queries and stock backgrounds selected through our official API-based integrations, including Unsplash stock photography search.
  • TikTok Account Data: If you connect your TikTok account to PXT, we receive basic profile information from TikTok via TikTok Login Kit (display name, avatar, and open ID) along with the access and refresh tokens needed to keep your account connected. If you publish content to TikTok through PXT, we also process the slideshow content you choose to publish and related post metadata (such as caption, privacy setting, and post status). We only request the TikTok permissions (scopes) required to provide these features.
  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, browser type, unique device identifiers, and general system configuration.
  • Location Data: IP address and general geographic location.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for:

  • Providing, maintaining, and improving our vertical slideshow services
  • Processing your account registration, authentication, and secure logins
  • Processing payments, managing subscriptions, and providing premium features
  • Utilizing AI models to generate, edit, and enhance short-form video slideshows based on your inputs
  • Saving, organizing, and retrieving your custom templates and vertical slide sequences
  • Delivering live stock background searches from third-party networks (Unsplash) and rendering slides in high definition
  • Authenticating your TikTok account and, when you request it, publishing your slideshows to your own TikTok account on your behalf. We use TikTok data solely to provide these features — we never use it for advertising or profiling, to build databases about individuals, devices, or browsers, or for any purpose that competes with or replicates TikTok services
  • Sending you technical notices, security alerts, and system support messages
  • Responding to your inquiries and providing customer support
  • Monitoring and analyzing usage patterns to optimize the application performance
  • Detecting, preventing, and addressing technical issues or security threats
  • Complying with legal obligations and protecting our rights

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Secure transit encryption (HTTPS/TLS) and encryption for data stored at rest
  • Secure cloud storage infrastructure, ensuring your custom templates and slideshow sequences are safely synchronized and backed up
  • Secure database systems with restricted administrative access
  • Encrypted backups and automated disaster recovery procedures

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Service Providers: Third-party vendors and hosting partners who perform essential services on our behalf (e.g., authentication, database hosting, server infrastructure, payment processing via Stripe, and AI model providers)
  • Third-Party APIs: PXT communicates with external stock image and social platforms to provide background visual assets and publishing features, including Unsplash and TikTok. These integrations are subject to their own respective terms and privacy policies. When you publish content to TikTok through PXT, that content is transmitted to TikTok and becomes subject to TikTok's policies.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights and user safety
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share your information

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

  • Access, view, and download your slideshow templates
  • Correct inaccurate or outdated account information
  • Delete your account and associated server data
  • Disconnect your TikTok account at any time from within PXT, or revoke PXT's access directly in the TikTok app (Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and websites)
  • Opt-out of non-essential emails and notifications

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to remember your login session and analyze general usage patterns. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings, though doing so may prevent certain application features from functioning correctly.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. When you delete your account, we will delete your server data within 90 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

TikTok data: When you disconnect your TikTok account, revoke PXT's access through TikTok, or delete your PXT account, we promptly delete the TikTok account data and access tokens we hold for you. We do not retain copies of TikTok data beyond what is needed to provide the integration while it is connected.

9. Children's Privacy

Our service is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable laws.
